About ‘Supernatural’:
The Supernatural project is the neverending self-exploration of two artists in the context of the unknown. It deals with the subconscious and intuition, which cannot be explained by science. At the same time, the project strives to convey the artists’ personal insightful and sublime experience of the unknown natural environment, erasing the line between the real and the imagined. Synchrodogs used the night-time meditation technique that they have developed together since 2008 as their main inspiration for ideas. With the Supernatural project, the artistic duo recreated the visions they saw (and made notes about) while experimenting with meditation and lucid dreaming techniques, using their own constructed images as a vehicle for erasing the line between the real and the illusive, between the natural and the artificial, uncovering the edges of their own subconscious and using intuition as their main guide while travelling across America’s endless deserted spaces.
