This is an unpublished project premiered today on C41 Magazine.
Toby Zeng was born in Beijing, China in 1998. His passion for photography started to blossom during 10th grade when he began taking photos with his iPhone. He studied Photography at Bard College in Dutchess County, New York. Toby is currently based in China where he works on commissions and personal projects.

Photographic Composition: Vertical is an exploration of photographic seeing through vertical composition. Toby’s goal is to strengthen the structure of a photograph. Using the camera and the frame, Zeng recontextualizes the details and captures individual components. By doing this, his photos surprise the viewers by presenting a different way of photographic seeing.
