During Milan Design Week, textile manufacturer Dedar presented “Sapessi com’è strano vedere una tigre a Milano”, a performance project dedicated to the tiger motifs of the house’s latest jacquard collection, interpreted by French artist Sulian Rios.

A choreographer, dancer and visual artist, Sulian Rios interprets the new Dedar velvet jacquards with itinerant urban performances in the city streets of Milan. In a city that is apparently “without flowers, without greenery, without sky, without anything…”, “amidst the people, crowds of people” the tiger makes its appearance, without an invitation, it is in our midst, in the civilised, often contaminated space we live in.
