“I’m a French self-taught photographer, born in 1986. I use almost exclusively a film camera and a 50mm lens, a way for me to concentrate on the moment instead of on the photography gear, which doesn’t really interest me.
I still try to define what is photography for me, as it’s constantly changing with my practice. Today, I think I can say that I see it as an ongoing process to get a better understanding of myself, as well as a tool helping me to be attentive to the world.”

About ‘Palpitation’:
In October 2016, my friend Julien decided to quit his job. He had been working for the same company since he started his professional life, 7 years before, and he was exhausted. Like a lot of people of our generation, he didn’t see the point of working like this anymore.
A few months later, as I was in Chile, he jumped on the occasion to escape: we met in Santiago, took the road and got lost in The Andes, between Chile, Argentina, and Bolivia. Palpitation is an attempt at telling the story of an intuition.
The one that, one day, pushed you out of your everyday life, leaving comfort, material things and fake relationships behind you. The intuition that, somehow, life will be better after that, or at least different.
Among those vast and empty lands, it’s easy to lose track of time, and space. And while everything seems to become metaphoric, from a broken tv on the ground to a dead flamingo, as a reminder of what we left behind, it’s definitely a good place to start something new.
