Pushkar Raj Sharma says about himself:
“I am a keen observer of daily life.  Based in New Delhi, India, he can often be found roaming on the streets looking for those special moments that illustrate life in India, its richness, its frustrations, and most of all, the spirit of its people.”

About ‘Losing identity’:

Do we lose our identity on the streets while making one ?

In today’s digital world , access to camera has become relatively easy , so everyone with a camera is a photographer  but on the other hand, as our uniqueness becomes more and more eroded, this easy access has put us at risk of losing our individuality.  The richness that sets us apart is slowly becoming mixed up; gradually we are sinking into a mass global personality and losing our own identity I personally relate to this identity crisis.

Shot in Old Delhi over a period of one year, this project is a metaphorical illustration of that loss, that identity crisis. Funny, sad, confusing, enriching, which way will this identity crisis go?

We identify ourselves with a screen and no longer with our body, let’s see ourselves only through a technological medium and we do not talk more face to face. We became machines losing what distinguished us. Technology has brought many benefits to everyday life of every person but it has also led us to an alienation of personality.
