BiM’s cultural program opens Piero Percoco Solo Show. The Rainbow Over Milan by Piero Percoco in C41 Gallery and C41 Panorama. The exhibition will open to the public on June 6 at 11 AM, with a vernissage with the artist from 6 PM and a concert by Bruno Belissimo in BiM Garden from 10 PM.

The exhibition showcases photographs from Percoco’s Instagram and books archives. With the title Piero Percoco Solo Show. The Rainbow Over Milan C41 brings to the foreground the fine irony of the presence of a rainbow in Milan, a now increasingly rare phenomenon. The exhibition is anticipated by a preview in C41 Panorama, where the floor will be transformed into a blow-up of a photo of Percoco while copies of the editorial project in which he participated, The Passenger. Mediterranean, published by Iperborea, will be available for viewing and purchase.

Piero Percoco (Bari, 1987) is a photographer and the author of Prism Interiors, published in 2018 by Skinnerboox, fully designed and edited by Jason Fulford, and The Rainbow Is Underestimated, a visual coming-of-age novel collecting more than 100 of his most iconic photographs. His work has been exhibited in Italian and international galleries and festivals, such as Dusseldorf Photo Weekend, SP4 Gallery Treviso, Leica Store Milan, and has been published in “The New Yorker,” “Guggenheim Venice” “New York Times,” “Rolling Stones” and “The British Journal of Photography” among others.

A live show by Bruno Belissimo will be held from 10 p.m. to midnight. Bruno Belissimo is an Italian-Canadian DJ, producer and multi-instrumentalist. His music production has a unique sound influenced by Italian space-disco classics and sci-fi horror movie soundtracks from the late 1970s and early 1980s, reworked into a contemporary and original style. In just a few years he has collected an impressive number of concerts in Italy and abroad, as well as a variety of artistic collaborations.

The exhibition is open to the public until October 15, 2024, Monday through Friday, from 11 AM to 5 PM.
