This is an unpublished project premiered today on C41 Magazine.

Pasquale Fanelli was born in Puglia but he lives and works in Abruzzo. He works in tourism for one of the most important Italian companies in holiday villages and 4-star travel. Photography is his main passion; he cultivates, studies, and practices it as a self-taught photographer for a few years. He likes to use iPhones, digital cameras but he often uses his old analog film. With photography, he tries to investigate people, objects, and environments in which they are located, and he investigates especially all those sclerotic attitudes that characterize everyday life.

About ‘Siamo dei’ – words by Pasquale Fanelli:

“Siamo dei” is the story of a dialogue between colors and shapes in the daily life of a normal person.

Is the discovery of a hidden language between people and their surroundings that transforms what is ordinary into “divine”. In fact, at the moment when the infinite relationships with the world are grasped, everything is elevated to a higher dimension. The blue of the sky is the same as in the felted sweater taken from the wardrobe. The strong hands of a young man clutching lemons have the same evocative force as those of an old man walking on the sand. In this enormous dialogue, we are gods, because everything that belongs to us is part of the world. We are the immanence and soul of the world.
