The history of the Oasi Zegna began in 1929, when Ermenegildo Zegna planted the first tree near his wool mill in Trivero, with the aim of giving life back to a territory that was then barren and devoid of vegetation. That pioneering initiative traced a path that, over time, led to the birth of a lush ecosystem: today the Oasis has more than 500,000 trees, which grow as evidence of a long-term vision.
In this photographic project we tried to grasp its dual soul: on the one hand, the vastness of the landscapes, suspended between earth and sky, where the clouds move freely and sometimes incorporate everything; on the other, the delicacy of the vegetal details, the subtle and complex geometries that nature designs with care and infinite precision.
It is precisely in this balance between the particular and the whole that the philosophy of the Oasi Zegna manifests itself: a place where extreme attention to detail coexists with a perception of the whole that invites reflection and contemplation.
This alternation between microcosm and macrocosm reflects the same philosophy that animates the Zegna company, and the Oasis thus becomes a metaphor for a broader idea: a praise of accuracy that does not lose the overall poetic vision.
