Michael Barry says about himself:
Photography has been the one constant throughout my life. I find it to be a very satisfying feeling when an image comes together – something that happens just enough to keep me carrying my camera.
I work professionally as a fashion portrait and reportage photographer currently but last year I was finishing my degree in Fine Art. I have a background in painting and sculpture which has informed my photography and enabled me to develop a greater sense of light and shadow, depth and composition. I was born in 1992 in Thailand, grew up in Manchester, studied in Leeds and now currently live and work in London. I work mostly in 35mm and medium format film but digital has its purpose too.
It is generally accepted that photography comes from the photographer and not the camera and when appropriate, I use film although digital has its advantages too.
