Marco Arguello (b. 1985) is a self-taught American photographer currently living in Athens, Greece. His past clients include Art Basel, Lexus International, United Airlines, and WSJ Mag.
About ‘Tungsten Beach’:
Tungsten Beach is a series that was shot during my time living in Miami Beach, FL. I always wanted to portray such an iconic Miami Beach landmark such as the life guard stations in a different context. During a yearly festival on the beach, local police erect flood lights along the shore for security purposes. The strong light gave the sand harsh shadows reminiscent of moon and the lifeguard stands were transformed into colorful lunar research stations.
