About ‘Japanese fake food‘:
This project came to me a few years after my first visit to Japan. I noticed that quite a few restaurants had incredibly real looking plastic food replicas in their display windows. The Japanese are well known for their dedication to craft. When I discovered that these plastic foods were handmade, I thought it would be a fun series since most Japanese craft stories are so quiet and beautiful.
