About ‘Lockdown Journal’ – words by Manny Jefferson:

Four months ago, the Coronavirus hit Lagos and the city went on lockdown. As a photographer whose work revolves around documenting the city and its people, a lockdown meant finding new ways to document and that’s how this project, “Lockdown Journal” was born.

Being confined to my home, I spent the past couple of months documenting the space and the mundaneness of, finding beauty in sunrise, sunsets and everyday objects. With the lockdown being lifted partially, I’ve begun to document the city as it recovers. It’s an exploration of the ways in which the pandemic affects how we view our personal lives as well as our cities.
