About ‘Zen Lake’ – words by Luca Scavone:
Croatia, sea very small, almost like a lake, but salty.
Here a tourist is someone that is not from the place, you recognize it by their curious glance.
So i thought: if summer ends on the shore of a small salty lake and people from there looks at you surprised because in those place everybody knows everybody but no one knows you….and then they keep doing the same as if you don’t exist, as if you were part of the whole picture, are you still a tourist?
There is a saying that dogs look like their owner. So I thought: what if the same saying can be applied to objects also?
What if objects, like boats, if used forever by the same owner, end up looking like him? How would it look like? If a tiny boat in a very tiny sea its not a big help, doesn’t it become a marvelous object to bring with you on a normal summer day?
