About Non so dare un nome a quell’estate – words by Leandro Colantoni:
I made this series between July and September 2020 during an unusual summer, in which I saw the outside world after weeks of isolation in an apartment. I took about 3000 photographs in that time frame. It was my way of celebrating my new freedom. Influenced by fear and a suffocating sense of uncertainty, I showed not the usual “estate italiana”, but a different summer, surreal in some respects, which I still cannot give a name to today.
