About ‘City’:
A city is nothing more than a melting pot of different people, but if you start thinking that each of them has his own story, then the situation gets a little bit more complicated, and also much more interesting.
Thousands of different paths and lives crossing by every day, without anyone actually caring at all.
John MacLean managed to perfectly isolate those moments of strangers’ lives, capturing them with a delicacy and elegance that is, at least, very rare.
City is a micro-world suspended in time, where each picture represents a particular story in a particular moment.
It is not important to know what is happening; as the title itself suggests, this is just a city.
