About ‘Tucson’:

Tucson is a reexamination of my hometown. I was born in Tucson and lived there until I was 18. The sprawl and the exceptional heat of Tucson make the sidewalk a space mostly un-tread. The city from end to end is a grid of wide, slow-moving side streets. I moved back to Tucson at 24 and have been photographing it as an ongoing attempt to form an understanding of the city and the ways that it has both shaped and estranged me.
