Izabelle Nordfjell is born 1988. She’s working as a freelance photographer based in Örnsköldsvik, northern Sweden. She have a graduate in photojournalism at Nordic school of photography, Stockholm/Sweden.

Outside Arjeplog, in the far North of Sweden, The Sami Fjellman family resides. Their lifes revolves around their reindeers.
A way of life that originates thousands of years back in time and is rooted in every tree, deep lake and whistling wind of the harsh but beatiful North.A life under constant pressure. Pressure from the threath of predators and the consern whether or not the pasture will last during the winter.
A wearisome way of life that’s made possible by the love for the Nature and to each other.
These images are from the ongoing project Sapmi – Sameland. I started to photograph the project in 2010 and has continued to follow the family since.
