Gerard Bosch (1985), is a photographer and designer born and based in Barcelona.

He has always been interested in the communicative power of images, that is why he became a graphic designer. During the last15 years, he has worked as a graphic and motion designer and art director in small design studios and branding agencies, and later developing projects as a freelancer.

In 2020 he decided to study signature documentary photography in El Observatorio, a small specialized school in Barcelona. Since then, he works on personal photographic projects while at the same time I keep working as a designer, specializing in editorial and communication projects related to fine arts, with a special interest in photography and photobooks.

About Nostalgia – words by Gerard Bosch:

Nostalgia is an ongoing project that explores the emotional bonds we have with the land we inhabit.

“Nosalgia is an undefined place, suspended in time and space. A passing place between two indeterminate points which is an entrance and an exit at the same time. A place that is not a place, where density and lightness coexist and hold hands. A diffuse desire of wanting to return to an unknown place, only to feel the need to flee again. A place where you have already lived, in which pleasure and suffering live together in harmony, together with an unfulfilled wish to return. Nostalgia is a tree whose leaves fall off and from which new identical ones sprout again, in an eternal return that repeats cyclically. Nostalgia is the evidence of the existence of the past, a warm memory of what has never been.”
