The Armani show for this season was a masterclass in restoring the humanity often lost in our increasingly digital world. Stripped shimmery sports vest dresses, washed rainbow watercolor tones, and, of course, numerous iterations of the iconic Armani suit graced the runway, all with a clear purpose: to reconnect fashion with human experience. “I believe that physical stores provide a unique, irreplaceable, multi-sensory experience with the added value of human contact—something the virtual world lacks,” Armani remarked, underscoring his philosophy.

True to form, the collection maintained Armani’s signature balance between masculine and feminine energies, but this year, there was a new infusion of freedom and irony not seen in previous seasons. The once-provocative stance on gender equality evolved into something more playful and light-hearted, offering a refreshing twist on the brand’s established narrative.

The show also marked the grand reopening of the Emporio store on Via Manzoni, following six months of renovations. Featuring over 100 looks across both menswear and womenswear, the collection opened with a stark white palette that gradually gave way to vibrant reds and blues before softening into shades of green, pink, and rich purples. Bold ties made a statement, while a variety of hats accentuated the theme of freedom. Soft jackets with natural shoulders, flowing trousers, and riding breeches paired with versatile blousons, parkas, and trench coats floated down the runway, all rendered in silk, linen, and cotton with a matte finish, embodying effortless elegance and sophistication.

For the grand finale, models returned to the runway alongside Nicola Lamorgese and Marco Brunello, joining Giorgio Armani as he took his bows. The trio stood together, basking in the applause of an audience mesmerised by not just a spectacle of fashion, but a celebration of renewal and evolution. Their final bow signalled the close of a presentation that paid homage to the past while embracing a future rich with creativity, freedom, and humanity.
