About ‘The Nature of Things‘:

The Nature of Things 1. Notes, Leftovers is a collection of photographs by Dario Salamone on the theme of anthropogenesis; the evolutionary process that led to the emergence of Homo sapiens as a distinct species. Through a visual investigation of the most relevant scientific and anthropological theories, the book comes as a reflection on the human peculiarity of accessing the symbolic order, trying to highlight the costs of it. Devices, animals and primitive representations interact with each other and accompany the observer on a path that appears both philosophical and introspective.
