Christopher Valentine is a visual artist from Buffalo, New York. He received his BFA in photography from The Rochester Institute of Technology in the Spring of 2020. Working within photography, his subject matter flows from the meanderings and curiosities found within everyday life. He hopes to work professionally as a commercial and editorial photographer someday. He is currently traveling/living throughout the United States in an RV with his partner.

Taking Note In The Splendor is an in-progress project which examines the way in which humans have asserted their dominance over the earth and its environments for power. The work will evolve over time to focus on exploring the destructive and careless tendencies humans have asserted over nature, leading to broad global effects to planet earth such as climate change, habitat loss, and the commercialization of animals for capital gain. I see each of these facets coming together over a period of several years to paint an intricate picture of how the earth exists both presently and contemplating how it will change with time.
