The Milan Men’s Fashion Week took place from June 16th to 20th, 2023. Here, brands showcased their distinct creative visions on the runways, capturing the essence of contemporary men’s fashion; below are the shows that inspire us the most.

Valentino impressed with their elegant and refined collection, featuring clean cuts and luxurious fabrics, words from author Hanya Yanagihara’s “A Little Life” were placed on garments and presented on the runway beside floral-embroidered looks and re-envisioned formalwear. MSGM brought a burst of color and bold prints, blending streetwear with tailored pieces recalling a trip to Tanzania, a praise to the sublime landscapes of the East African nation. Magliano captured attention with their unique fusion of classic elements and modern details, infusing the fundamentals of menswear with a dark, unconventional and shabby attitude to make it a natural genderless code. Prada made a lasting impression with their minimalist approach, presenting impeccably tailored garments and essential designs proposing a study of fluid architecture, around the human body, an absolute freedom of the body, expressed through the cornerstones of the clothes that embrace it. JW Anderson focuses on the essential wardrobe which is swirled and warped through mélange knits, supple leathers and strong shouldered tailoring. Lastly, Etro imbued with both ease and sacrality, condensed in flowing shapes that barely touch the body and rhythmic patterns that swarm all over it.
