New solo exhibition by photographer Claus Troelsgaard in Copenhagen

Opening on May 23, an new exhibition explore the work of contemporary photographer Claus Troelsgaard (born 1986). In his first solo exhibition – named Exhibition Act 1 – the exhibition premieres photos from the archive of the early career of Troelsgaard.

For Exhibition Act 1, the works originate from his personal art projects created in the years of 2014 to 2019. As part of his artistic and creative approach, he both directs and shoots to capture the object in the way he wants. Exhibition Act 1 addresses his ability of staging an image like the work of a painter; all elements from the object(s) itself, the composition, colours to the use of light versus shadow are put together to create Troelsgaard’s recognisable dreaming and poetic touch to each fine art photo piece. The aesthetic and sensuality in his artistic univers are intriguing and captivating.

Claus Troelsgaard is a Copenhagen-based photographer. For Claus Troelsgaard it is not as much the genre or discipline itself, that intrigue and interest him but more how to build up each photo. No matter if he work on editorial, commercial or personal projects, he adds his own recognisable style and taste creating an unquestionable reference throughout his work. His work include still, portrait, kids, fashion, interior and art photography.

The exhibition runs from May 23 to June 28. Please note the exhibition’s opening dates are both May 23 & May 24, 2019.
