Nathalie Vigini speaks about herself:

“Originally, from Switzerland, travelling in Latin countries since 2008, I am a photographer and a travel addicted. I love to tell stories and show people the beauty around us, even in critical situations and realities. To me, photography is not merely about beautiful images, but more about capturing life. It gives me a window to observe significant moments in people’s lives.

Photography is a great way to make people think and dream, to give them hope and make them think about people and other life’s. Every travel I make I’m excited and inspired to take better picture, to take my time to know people and their life and to try see the scene with different and creative eyes.”

About ‘Mi Lindo Caribe Costa Rica ‘:

“I was living in Puerto Viejo, a small town in the Caribbean side of Costa Rica from 2010 until 2017, and, being this my home base for all those years, I felt the need to share and show the real life and real beauty of this area.
I was impressed that many people from other countries and other parts of Costa Rica never came in the Caribbean, and they were just telling me “oh, it is dangerous”.

Therefore, as a foreigner in the country and a lover of the Caribbean nature, culture and people, I just started to share photography of the daily life in the Caribbean.
Here life goes on smoothly, with the connection of nature and with my pictures I wanted to represent those spontaneous moments and daily life of the area.”

Using a street photography style in an uncommon space, not an urban space but just a little village near the ocean where life is not about running but about living. Puerto Viejo is located in southeastern Costa Rica, close to the Panama border.Known for its laidback attitude and famous for its surfing, this town attract visitors to come experience Costa Rica’s eccentric side.
With residents of both Afro-Caribbean descent and indigenous descent, Puerto Viejo offers a unique culture that can be found only in this part of Costa Rica.
Here, coconut rice, Reggae beats, colorful homes, and a laid-back attitude dominate
