Colin Czerwinski says about himself:
“My name is Colin Czerwinski. Born February 12, 1991. I’m a self taught musician, photographer and most recently, a painter.
I obtain a lot of my inspiration from touring with my band, Henrietta, and my friends bands, doing photography and merch, around the country. I also spend a lot of time with myself in nature (and in general really).”
About ‘Minimal Comic Play’:
There’s the idea that being by oneself is a form of loneliness, but I don’t want that to be the case when I mention it. I enjoy my time alone.
I’m able to observe certain ‘happenings’ without the distraction of others, and pay attention to what my mind is habitually attracted to; humorous and peculiar arrangements of pattern, color and light.
I find the world as a funny, dynamic theater of ones own mind.
This term that I coined, ‘Minimal Comic Play’, is exactly that. It describes the humorous essence of naturally arranged objects, but with a particular kind of light and compressed focal field, creating an almost surreal image.
A heightened sense of awareness is the ‘sine qua non’ of seeing reality, and the mind, in this fashion.
You can see more of this kind of work in a magazine/community that I created called, Noice.
